At Marshalls, we're passionate about more than just collecting waste; we're committed to helping create cleaner, greener communities across Norfolk.

That's why we were delighted to support a recent community litter pick along Riverside Road in Norwich, organised by St Martins Housing Trust, bringing together volunteers who gave up their time to help make a positive difference to the local environment.

With a hostel and managed accommodation service nearby, the team wanted to give something back to the local community and help improve the surrounding area for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

We were more than happy to get involved. We popped our gloves on, joined fellow volunteers and helped collect litter from the local area, making an immediate difference to the environment.

Once the litter pick was complete, we took responsibility for the collected waste. As a licensed waste carrier, we safely transported it to a local waste transfer station where it could be properly sorted, processed and managed in line with environmental regulations.

Community litter picks are a simple but powerful way to improve local neighbourhoods, reduce pollution and encourage greater pride in the places we live and work. They also highlight the importance of responsible waste management beyond simply putting waste in a bin.

As a family-run business, we're proud to support organisations like St Martins that are actively investing in their local communities and helping to create cleaner, safer and more sustainable environments.
